How to activate a DStv bundle and save your data bundle.

Watching DStv on your Android phone is an interesting thing but it is also data draining as well especially if you want to watch the DStv using a normal data bundle, it can easily be depleted within a few minutes especially if you choose to stream the channels in high quality.

For that reason, internet service providers also came up with a solution which is to buy a data bundle at a cheaper price, that is specifically for watching DStv.

Both MTN and Airtel Uganda have this service and today I am going to show you how you can activate this bundle on both networks.

On MTN, The DStv bundle is in form of watching hours. The data usage within this purchased time is unlimited and only accesses the DStv app.

How to activate the DStv Bundle on MTN Uganda.

1.Open your phone dialer, then dial *165*4*7# and choose DStv now.

2.Next, choose 1 if you want to load the bundle on your phone or 2 if you want to load the bundle on someone else's number and then continue.

3.Choose the bundle that is suitable for you and then continue.

After that you'll be required to confirm the transaction with your MTN mobile money pin and then the DStv bundle will be loaded.

You will receive a confirmation Message soon after the transaction is authorized.

Note:
While using your bundle, only the time you spend actively watching DStv will be counted.
I mean, If you buy 2 hours, you can watch for one hour in the morning, then watch for another hour in the evening.

How to activate a DStv bundle on Airtel Uganda.

1.Dail *175*6# and choose DStv bundles.

2.On the next step, choose a bundle that is favorable for you and then continue.

3.Next Choose Auto Renew if you want the bundle to automatically be reloaded when depleted. Please be careful while choosing this option because the bundle will auto reload without your consent. This option also only uses Airtime as the form of payment.

Or choose for one time purchase if you don't want auto renewal.
